Vehicle Description

Underneath that gorgeous body was a serious car mechanically and the first use of the Sting Ray name to describe the car. The fiberglass car rode on a 4-inch shorter wheelbase than previous (102” to 98”), but overall length was nearly the same. For ’63, the Sting Ray featured aggressive, yet handsome hidden headlights. 10,594 coupes were produced out of a total of 21,513 units in 1963, including this car which had a base price of $4,252.00. Zora Arkus-Duntov, known as the father of the Corvette was quoted as having said of the 1963 Corvette, “For the first time I now have a Corvette I can be proud to drive in Europe” John has owned this Silver Blue car since 1985. It was featured in the June 2016 issue of Corvette magazine as well as Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with former President Barack Obama.
